Pie.

Our stained hands show the exciting harvest we were lucky enough to discover.

We filled bowls and buckets.  And our mouths.

In less than four hours, we managed to pick over 30 pounds of sweet blueberries.  Tucked away in a small creek valley, a few miles from the ocean, the patch is tall, lichen filled and over 50 years old.  Chickens wandered at our feet, cleaning up the dropped berries.

We froze the majority, ate our share of fresh ones in smoothies and oatmeal.  And made this pie and then devoured it without so much as a photo!
